i was frantically in the midst of finishing this exceptionally long criminal law case for my presentation on thursday when i decided to take a break and explore youtube.

I think moments like this always help put things back in perspective and lets me reflect on the what is really important in life.

Law tea is finally over! To say that it was a success is rather subjective but I think it was pretty ok and I think we did the best we could.

Oh I just remembered something embarassing that happened during the law tea. I wore my uniform only to realise that there was an embarassingly big hole in my pants! I had to tuck out at the expense of the disapproving looks from some of the profs. I really felt like dying then. Especially since I was standing in the front row and the whole faculty was there as well as our ex Chief Justice Yong Pung Hao. OMG

I was really really damn tired after the law tea so I declined to join the guys in having dinner at Timbre. I didn't know the extent of my tiredness until I woke up at almost 2pm today. Haha. I have exceptionally lots of work to do so I couldn't go out today. Instead my Saturday was spent doing criminal law stuff and doing a bit of revision on contract. :(

I know I might be touching on a sensitive issue on the next topic but I think I need to get it off my chest. I didn't think that the issue of which JC one comes from would be an issue in tertiary education but somehow I feel that when people see which JC I came from, I get a weird vibe from them. Some of them don't even know what TPJC is. I'm not exactly blaming them. I do understand that for most of them, they come from top schools. Most of the people there actually are from the RI/RGS to RJC background. Sometimes, I feel a little apprehensive cause I've never been in a school of academic elites and here I am now amidst 240+ students (both batches) that have scholars and people in the gifted program amongst them. My crim prof kind of hit the spot when she said that in the school, the person next to you is probably someone who has scored 4 As for their A levels. Yeah it does get kind of scary sometimes.

Despite all that, I'm rather determined to prove my worth. I know that my results are better than a certain percentage of the students. The school has similarly believed in my capabilities and entrusted me with something (which I shall not mention what). Perhaps one of my friends from NUS law said it best when I told her about my apprehensiveness of studying among the
crème de la crème. It might sound rather haughty but I think it does encourage me in some ways.

Friend: "but we ARE the crème de la crème!"
