The Radiance Of An Opium Dream bridgedI beheld a figure, majestic beyond comprehension.Dark, lucious eyes of warm olive,Complexion of soft cream.Hair akin to gentle waves of seasThe long, cold gravel road,The soft greenery pastures of nature,Of which gentle rain softly visited. She was of to me, A figure distanced by social decorum and humanityAs time became lesser stillThe journey of every grain in an hourglassOur eyes metA spark!Alas, courage faltered. As the curtains drew to a close,Eyes met again (and again)Gazes of soft emotional longing and regret. It is of little meaning, (or so they said)A mere leaf in a forestHistory repeats itself,A rolling sphereYet, I dream and longFor what could have been sweet eternity. The Radiance Of An Opium Dream unbridged
I beheld a figure, majestic beyond comprehension.
Dark, lucious olive eyes,
Of cream complexion
And hair akin to gentle waves in the sea
The long, cold gravel road,
The soft greenery of nature
Of which gentle rain softly visited.
She was of to me,
A figure hidden by human shyness and humanity.
As time became lesser still
The journey of every grain in an hourglass.
Our eyes met,
A spark!
Alas, courage faltered.
As the curtains drew to a close,
Eyes met again (and again)
Gazes of soft emotional longing and regret
It is of little meaning, they said.
Like a mere leaf in a forest
History repeats itself, a rolling sphere.
Yet I dream and long,.
For what could have been sweet eternity.
