I just came back from the bersanding or solemnisation (I think!) part of my neighbour's wedding. Actually truth be told, I was late and I only went down to eat the food. Haha. Oh heres the interesting part which I almost forgot to mention. He (a Malay dude), just got married to a Korean lady. How cool is that?! Imagine if my wife was Miss Korea, the ever so yummy Honey Lee or even the 2007 Miss Universe, Riyo Mori. I have a weakness for everything jap (including their girls!)
I'm feeling kind of shagged out. Its not really due to attending the wedding but rather, the run of about 5km at Bedok Reservoir park just now. Its my first time running there and it was really cloudy and windy then which really made the run pleasurable. While I was initially planning to do a simple and slow jog due to me not wanting to aggravate my oh-too-tight shin and thigh muscles, this dude was irritating me at the 2km++ mark. He was running close right behind me even though I stepped aside to let him past. I did that for about 50 meters until I decided that if he wanted to race me, so be it. He came really close to me for the bulk of the distance, so close that I could hear his footsteps. It really took me all of my effort to increase my speed and I was totally out of breath cause I am not accustomed to running at that pace for anything longer than 2.4km. The good news? He gave up trying to catch up with me at about 80m away from the finish line. I checked my timing from my iPOD and it showed that I took plusminus 20 mins to run 5km. Wow! Even I am impressed.
Ok just an update on my readings. I've finished "Introduction to Jurisprudence" on Tuesday and now I'm about 1/6 though "The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith.
