ROADTRIP!

YEAH I'M BACK FROM KL!

Transport was provided by Luxury Tours which had relatively comfortable seats and those small TVs where you could watch movies in. Finally caught Chronicles of Narnia!. They even had a small lounge area below to chill out.
Stayed at the Impiana which was rather cool especially the swimming pool at night whereby there was a terrific view of the twin towers in all its lighted splendour.

I guess pictures speak more than words so I shall let them do the talking.

Checking into the hotel.

The Swimming Pool

Breakfast at Tiffany's! ok fine. Impiana breakfast buffet.

KL monorail!

I took a break from the army to hike in KL, burdened with numerous shopping bags. (only 2 were mine!)

Planet Hollywood KL!

Clubbing at The Beach KL!

Phew. A tiring but yet extremely fun and relaxing trip. Heres to a successful roadtrip! Thanks to the organisers, Aznie, Hideo and Jus as well as to Chloe and Farah for being there.

Ok I'm finally back home. Been a long week man. Had my Advanced Trainfire Programme (ATP) on Wednesday and Thursday. God could only feel the grief that we felt when it rained damn heavily before we were about to fire. I am however proud to say that despite running through quagmires of mud (getting my boots stuck several times!) and proning on mud, I managed to get 28 points for it. Missed my marksman by a mere 4 points. Oh well. I'm still proud of myself that I got 14/16 for my night shoot. All this after a mere 20 mins of technical handling lessons. It sure felt good to be in my helmet, SBO and rifle attire, being soaked in my own sweat and covered in mud. Priceless feeling man.

I received a call from my senior medic on friday afternoon. He offered me to do my duty on that day itself so that someone else would take over my Sunday duty. Whoa. That was damn sweet. Haha. Sunday is free!

Lost my temper and just screwed someone for my workplace over the phone just now. I think that my comments were rather venomous but oh well. no remorse. He had it coming. Didn't seem so brave anymore after I talked to him. Teehee

of applications, regrets and resolutions

Alright let me blog about Sunday first cause I was too tired to blog about it then. Woke up early in the morning to have a quick breakfast of assam laksa maggi with egg (oh damn it was good) and rushed off to CDC for my bike prac. Ended up being late (as usual) by about 10 mins. There wasn't any instructor at the registeration counter so I was like wondering what the hell to do for a good few minutes. The most logical thing that I should have done was to not give up and look for the instructor. After all it doesn't seem that hard right? Sadly, I didn't and just went back home, losing $30 in the process. I'm not sure why I did that but I guess some things just occur that you can't really explain. Despite that, this incident has strenghtened my resolve to be more goal-orientated and thrifty. Don't see the link? Too bad.

Went to cut my hair at TM and I asked for a mohawk. Haha. I'm not kidding. It would have been cool but again as in the previous situation, it remained just a possibility. The "mohawk" just looks like a normal haircut. So much for being adventurous.

Anyway, I'm really proud of myself for finishing my university applications in such a short time of two days as compared to last year's one full month.

Had my technical handling test for my SAR21 in the afternoon today. Was pleasantly surprised at how fast the whole thing was. Wohoo! IMT tomorrow and the live range on Wed and Thursday. The life of a combatant. How glamourous. Haha

Yes I'm blogging again with a new song for my blog.

Hmm A levels.. Apparently, people did quite well this year. A few of the people that I sold my notes to got A for lit. YES! I am taking credit for their grades. Haha. I worked my ass off to produce that set of notes ok. 9 months! I could give birth in that period of time.

Dammit. I now have to go for first parade at 0645 in the morning everyday. Damn troublesome man. My live firing is coming up too! 14th and 15th. 300m leap and bound firing. Aiming for marksman. So as you can see, this march is quite full of shit. Oh well, as the popular army saying goes, "lan lan suck thumb".

Going on a trip to KL with my friends on the 23rd to the 25th. Wohoo!
